We are pleased to present the first part of the Betty Opp Estate Auction. Betty, the esteemed owner of Betty’s Quiltery in Rapid City, she was not only a master of fabric and color but also a highly regarded antique dealer. Her discerning eye for fine glassware, tableware, pottery, and antique furniture is evident in the exceptional items featured in this auction and the subsequent ones.
This auction showcases an exquisite array of items, including stunning quilts, glassware, pottery, jewelry, antiques, perfume bottles, and much more.
The quilts available are new and meticulously crafted, having been long-armed directly from Betty’s shop. Each piece features intricate patchwork designs, vibrant hues, and superior craftsmanship. Additionally, we have a delightful collection of thimbles..
The glassware selection is particularly noteworthy, highlighting an extensive range of Fenton products. You’ll find epergnes, uranium glass, Fiestaware, carnival glass, Dugan pieces, fine china, numerous Hall teapots, Moorcroft pottery, and beautiful pieces from Redwing and Frankoma.
In addition to her stunning collection of quilts and glassware, Betty also had a nice collection of jewelry. This collection featured Black Hills Gold, sterling silver, and other elegant pieces of vintage jewelry.
Part 1 of this auction also offers a glimpse into Betty’s remarkable collection of perfume bottles, featuring a Louis Comfort Tiffany art glass bottle and a striking large green malachite art deco bottle
