The Bagale Collection, Session III continues the offering of the lifetime collection of the late Dr. E. John Bagale, a respected Pueblo area physician, historian, scholar, and dedicated collector whose passion for military history spanned decades.
This compelling session is especially rich in military communication equipment, uniforms, distinctive headwear, gas masks, and period photograph albums. Featured pieces include field telephones, specialized command and anti aircraft communication devices, artillery equipment, Imperial German and World War II era uniforms, ceremonial hats, protective masks with original canisters, medals, insignia, patches, reservistika memorials, field and medical kits, optics, artwork, books, documents, propaganda materials, and related historical artifacts.
Many pieces retain original finishes, manufacturer markings, insignia, fitted cases, specialized accessories, and authentic service wear. Period photograph albums, documents, and personal materials provide fascinating glimpses into military service and everyday life during some of the most significant periods of modern history.
Dr. Bagale assembled this extensive collection through decades of research, study, and careful acquisition. The artifacts have been cataloged using historical references, collector research, and consultation with experienced historians and collectors.
